Today meet Ana Caban, one of America’s leading Pilates instructors who has sold over 25 million dollars of fitness dvds and streaming workouts. Ana has been featured in many different media outlets; InStyle Magazine called her “a star Pilates instructor” and Martha Stewart Radio called her “the fitness guru to propel you into shape”. During the Pandemic she started, like many of us, listening to more podcasts, and became motivated to start her own. She recently interviewed Annie & Gretchen about Donuts & Pie Fitness and aging enthusiastically ™ on episode 10 of her new podcast, “Your Inspired Life”.
Ana has been motivating women for the past two decades to put their health and wellness first. One example of something she has done to motivate and build confidence in others is come up with four habits for igniting your purpose-driven life:
1) Listen to your heart, what you are passionate about, what you’re good at, and what brings you joy and brings more of those things into your life.
2) Cultivate your inner circle. You are who you spend time with. Surround yourself with people who make your life better.
3) Give back. That looks different for everyone but it could be something such as volunteering or giving away your time or even money.
4) Think positive thoughts and truly believe them. Gratitude makes a huge difference in your life and those positive affirmations do more for you than you might think.
Ana’s idea of “Aging Enthusiastically ™ ” is what she likes to call the 4 M’s:
Mindset – Have a positive mindset. Thoughts become things.
Motivation – What is it that keeps you going? What gets you up in the mornings?
Move your body – Getting exercise is very important and there are so many ways to do it.
Momentum – Once you get going and build that momentum there is no stopping you.
