Today we interview Denise Medved, founder of Ageless Grace. Ageless Grace is a cutting-edge brain fitness program that is based on neuroplasticity, which is the ability to change your brain as you age, making a difference in your brain and brain health.
Ageless Grace activates all 5 functions of the brain. One brain function brain is strategic planning, which is planning your body’s next movement. The next function is memory and recall. These things happen in several different areas of the brain. Every memory is related to physical experience. The next one is analytical thinking which is understanding all of the parts or activity of a movement. Then there is a creativity and imagination, again from the point of view of a physical movement. This is discovering new and creative ways of moving. The last one is kinesthetic learning which is learning something first and then letting the brain connect with the body in order to make things go easily. Learning something new stimulates the brain.
The program consists of 21 simple exercise tools. The exercises, based on everyday movements that are natural and organic focus on the healthy longevity of the body and mind. They are done in a chair is because to pretend to do something while sitting stimulates something different in your brain. Sitting supports your core and spinal cord. You are also moving your energy system as well as all of your other systems. Another reason to be seated is through sitting, anyone can do the program.
Denise’s advice to age enthusiastically is to not have a negative attitude about your capabilities. The more you move your body, the more you will be able to do and the better you will feel. It is never too late for anyone to be active. Do not limit your thinking or your movement. Feeling better physically will make you feel better mentally therefore you’re keeping yourself joyful.
