“At 2 years old you think you can do anything. As you grow older people tell you that you can’t or shouldn’t do things, but it’s important to remember that even when we get older we can still learn things, and hard is not impossible.” Our interview today with David Stewart from Ageist @weareageist is a fabulous reminder of what is possible in our 50s and beyond.
David started Ageist about 6 years ago out of curiosity about why people our age were being shown in media the way they were. It was as if we were “a liability in search of a solution”. His Thursday newsletter of 50 friends grew to over 500,000 readers a month. The community is global in reach and shares information on longevity, health, wellness, and culture as well as also helping big brands get the message right.
This is an interview worth watching – it is short, enjoyable and it will make you think about how you look at yourself, your age, your abilities and your purpose. Find the link in our bio and please comment. Wait until you hear what David’s advice for aging enthusiastically is – it is definitely a first.
